Method

Dough Preparation

  1. 1

    Activate Yeast

In a small bowl, warm the milk to about 110°F (43°C). Sprinkle the yeast and a teaspoon of sugar over the milk. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until frothy.

  2. 2

    Mix Dough Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, remaining sugar, and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and eggs. Mix until combined.

  3. 3

    Knead and Rise

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-8 minutes until smooth. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Filling Preparation

  1. 4

    Prepare Filling

Melt the butter for the filling. In a bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.

  2. 5

    Roll Out Dough

After the dough has risen, roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

  3. 6

    Add Filling

Spread the melted butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly on top.

Rolling and Baking

  1. 7

    Roll and Cut

Starting from one edge, roll the dough tightly into a log. Cut the log into 12 equal pieces.

  2. 8

    Bake Rolls

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let rise for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.

Glaze Preparation

  1. 9

    Make the Glaze

In a bowl, beat together the cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream until smooth.

Serving

  1. 10

    Glaze and Serve

Once the cinnamon rolls are baked and cooled slightly, drizzle the cream glaze over the top. Serve warm with fresh strawberries on the side.
