Champagne Cocktail Ingredients

Method

Champagne Cocktail Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Glass

Chill a champagne flute by filling it with ice water. Let it sit while you prepare the cocktail.

  2. 2

    Add the Sugar Cube

In a separate glass, place one sugar cube and add 2 dashes of Angostura bitters directly on top of the sugar cube.

  3. 3

    Muddle the Ingredients

Gently muddle the sugar cube and bitters together until the sugar is soaked and starts to dissolve.

  4. 4

    Add Hennessy

Pour 1.5 oz of Hennessy over the muddled sugar cube and bitters mixture.

  5. 5

    Mix the Ingredients

Stir gently to combine the ingredients in the glass.

  6. 6

    Strain into Flute

Remove the ice water from the champagne flute and strain the mixture into the flute, ensuring the sugar and bitters mixture stays in the original glass.

  7. 7

    Top with Champagne

Slowly top the mixture in the flute with 4 oz of champagne, pouring gently to avoid excessive foaming.

  8. 8

    Garnish

Twist a lemon peel over the drink to release the oils, then drop it into the cocktail as a garnish.

  9. 9

    Serve

Serve immediately and enjoy your Champagne Cocktail!
