Method

Preparing the Bread

  1. 1

    Slice the Baguette

Using a serrated knife, slice the baguette into 1/2 inch thick slices.

  2. 2

    Brush with Olive Oil

Lightly brush both sides of the baguette slices with olive oil.

  3. 3

    Grill the Bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Place the baguette slices on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are golden and crispy.

Making the Topping

  1. 4

    Chop the Tomatoes

Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

  2. 5

    Mince the Garlic

Finely mince the garlic cloves and add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

  3. 6

    Add Basil and Seasonings

Chop the fresh basil leaves and add them to the bowl along with salt and black pepper. Gently mix all the ingredients until well combined.

Assembling the Bruschetta

  1. 7

    Top the Grilled Bread

Spoon a generous amount of the tomato mixture onto each slice of the grilled baguette.

  2. 8

    Serve Immediately

Arrange the bruschetta on a serving platter and serve immediately while the bread is still warm and crispy.
