Using an ice cream scoop, place 2 scoops of gelato into a serving glass or bowl. Choose a flavor that pairs well with coffee, such as vanilla or hazelnut.
Brew the Espresso

Prepare Espresso
In an espresso machine or stovetop moka pot, combine 2 tablespoons of espresso coffee grounds with 60 ml of water. Brew until you have 60 ml of fresh espresso.
Assemble the Affogato

Pour the Espresso
Once the espresso is ready, pour it directly over the gelato in the serving glass or bowl. The hot espresso will melt the gelato slightly, creating a delicious combination.
