Pasta

Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bucatini

In a large pot of boiling salted water, add the bucatini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 9-11 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.

  2. 2

    Reserve Pasta Water

Before draining the pasta, reserve about 1 cup of the pasta cooking water. Drain the pasta and set aside.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the Sauce Base

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the finely chopped shallots and sauté until they become translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

  2. 4

    Add Garlic and Dill

Add the minced garlic and chopped fresh dill to the skillet. Sauté for another minute until fragrant.

  3. 5

    Add Cream and Seasoning

Stir in the heavy cream, fresh lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer and let it cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally until slightly thickened.

Combine Pasta and Sauce

  1. 6

    Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained bucatini pasta and the cooked lobster tails to the skillet. Toss gently to combine, ensuring the pasta is coated with the creamy citrus and dill sauce.

  2. 7

    Adjust Consistency

If the sauce is too thick, add some reserved pasta water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired consistency.

Serving

  1. 8

    Plate the Dish

Serve the Lobster Bucatini in bowls, garnishing each serving with lemon zest and additional fresh dill.

  2. 9

    Enjoy!

Enjoy your creamy Lobster Bucatini with a glass of white wine for a perfect meal.
