Method

Pasta Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bucatini

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bucatini pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water and drain the rest.

Seafood Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the Seafood

While the pasta is cooking, in a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the leeks, and cook until they are soft and translucent, about 4-5 minutes. Add the tomatoes and cook for another 5 minutes until they start to break down.

  2. 3

    Combine Seafood

Stir in the lobster meat and jumbo crab meat. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the seafood is heated through.

Sauce Preparation

  1. 4

    Make the Dill Butter Sauce

Pour in the white wine and bring to a simmer. Allow to reduce for about 2-3 minutes. Stir in the dill, chili flakes, and season with salt and black pepper.

Combine and Serve

  1. 5

    Combine Everything

Add the drained bucatini to the skillet with the seafood and sauce. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water a little at a time if the sauce needs thinning.

  2. 6

    Serve

Plate the bucatini generously with the lobster and crab mixture, and garnish with additional dill if desired. Serve immediately.
