For the Seasonal Vegetables

Method

Cooking the Ribeye Steak

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This will ensure even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steaks with olive oil, then season generously with salt, black pepper, and garlic powder on both sides.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Heat a cast-iron skillet over high heat until very hot. Add the steaks and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving them.

  4. 4

    Flip and Add Herbs

Flip the steaks and add the fresh rosemary to the skillet. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until the desired doneness is reached.

  5. 5

    Rest the Steak

Remove the steaks from the skillet, cover loosely with aluminum foil, and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.

Making the Mashed Potatoes

  1. 6

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and chop the potatoes into uniform pieces. This ensures they cook evenly.

  2. 7

    Boil the Potatoes

Place the chopped potatoes in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.

  3. 8

    Mash the Potatoes

Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter, milk, salt, and black pepper. Mash until smooth and creamy.

Cooking the Seasonal Vegetables

  1. 9

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash and trim the green beans. Peel and slice the carrots.

  2. 10

    Cook the Vegetables

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the green beans and carrots, season with salt and black pepper, and sauté for about 5-7 minutes until tender-crisp.
