Method

Preparing the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently with your hands until just combined, being careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the meat mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty that is about ¾ inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side until browned, then flip the patties and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium doneness.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 5

    Prepare the Toppings

While the patties are cooking, wash and tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces. Slice the tomato into thick slices.

  2. 6

    Toast the Buns

Optional: Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in the skillet until golden brown.

  3. 7

    Assemble the Burger

Spread a generous amount of special sauce on the bottom bun. Place the cooked patty on top, followed by the lettuce and tomato. Top with the other half of the bun.
