Pork Marinade
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large mixing bowl, combine orange juice, minced garlic, chopped oregano, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Place the pork shoulder into a large zip-top bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring it's fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight for maximum flavor.
Roasting the Pork
- 3
Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 4
- 5
Rest the Pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes before shredding.
Sandwich Assembly
- 6
Prepare the Bread
Slice the Cuban rolls in half lengthwise. Spread softened butter on the outside of each half.
- 7
Assemble the Sandwich
Layer the bottom half of each roll with shredded mojo pork, followed by slices of ham and Swiss cheese. Close the sandwich with the top half of the roll.
- 8
Grill the Sandwich
Heat a skillet or a panini press over medium heat. Place the sandwiches in the skillet, pressing down gently. Grill for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- 9
Serve
Remove the sandwiches from the skillet, slice diagonally, and serve hot.
