Method

Roasting the Maduro

1

Prepare the Bananas

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Peel the ripe maduro bananas and slice them in half lengthwise.

2

Coat with Coconut Oil

In a small bowl, mix the coconut oil and brown sugar until well combined. Brush this mixture evenly over the cut sides of the bananas.

3

Roast the Bananas

Place the bananas cut-side up on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Roast in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until they are caramelized and golden brown.

Mixing the Drink

4

Combine the Ingredients

In a shaker, combine 2 oz of Cachaça and 1 oz of Manzanilla Sherry. Fill the shaker with ice.

5

Shake Well

Shake the mixture vigorously for about 15 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.

6

Strain the Cocktail

Strain the mixture into a chilled glass over fresh ice.

Garnishing and Serving

7

Add the Roasted Bananas

Once the bananas are roasted, place them on top of the cocktail as a garnish.

8

Finish with Mint and Cinnamon

Garnish with fresh mint leaves and a pinch of cinnamon powder. Serve immediately.
