Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Clean the Lobster

Rinse the lobsters under cold water and use a brush to scrub the shells. Ensure that there are no debris or sand stuck to the shells.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic (4 cloves) and cook until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

  3. 3

    Chop the Parsley

Finely chop the parsley and set aside for garnish.

  4. 4

    Prepare Lemon

Cut the lemon in half; one half for squeezing over the lobster later, and the other half for plating.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Boil the Lobster

Fill a large pot with water, add salt (1 tsp), and bring to a rolling boil. Carefully add the lobsters to the pot and cover. Boil for about 8-10 minutes until the lobsters turn bright red.

  2. 6

    Drain and Cool

Once cooked, remove the lobsters from the pot and place them in a colander to drain. Allow them to cool slightly before handling.

  3. 7

    Split the Lobster

Using a sharp knife, carefully split the lobsters in half lengthwise. Remove any unwanted parts such as the stomach and gills.

  4. 8

    Baste with Garlic Butter

Using a brush or spoon, generously baste the lobster meat with the prepared garlic butter. Sprinkle with black pepper (1 tsp) and optional paprika or chili flakes if desired.

Serving

  1. 9

    Plate the Lobster

Place the lobster halves on a serving platter. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the top and garnish with chopped parsley.

  2. 10

    Serve

Serve immediately while warm with additional lemon wedges and melted garlic butter on the side for dipping.
