Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Strawberries

Wash the fresh strawberries thoroughly under cold water. Remove the green tops and slice them into halves.

  2. 2

    Juicing the Lime

Cut a fresh lime in half and squeeze out the juice until you have 1 oz. of fresh lime juice. Strain out seeds if necessary.

  3. 3

    Make Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan over medium heat, mix equal parts sugar and water (1:1 ratio). Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow to cool.

Mixing

  1. 4

    Combine Ingredients

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add the Italian rum, Trinidad rum, prepared strawberries, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup.

  2. 5

    Shake It Up

Shake the cocktail shaker vigorously for about 15-20 seconds to mix all the ingredients well and chill the mixture.

Serving

  1. 6

    Strain and Serve

Strain the mixture into a chilled cocktail glass. If desired, use a fine mesh strainer to remove strawberry pulp for a smoother texture.

  2. 7

    Garnish

Garnish the drink with strawberry slices and a lime wheel on the rim of the glass.
