Cocktail
Method
Cocktail
- 1
Prepare
If using fresh fruit addition, lightly muddle one thin slice of cucumber or a small wedge of lime in the base of your shaker to release aroma and a hint of flavor. Do not over-muddle — you want aroma, not vegetal bitterness.
- 2
Build
Add Hendrick's Gin (1 oz), Green Chartreuse (1 oz), Maraschino liqueur (1 oz), fresh lime juice (1 oz), and simple syrup (0.25 oz) to the shaker over the muddled fruit (if using).
- 3
Shake
Add 5–6 ice cubes to the shaker. Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the exterior of the shaker is well chilled and slightly frosted.
- 4
Strain
Double-strain the cocktail into a chilled coupe or Nick & Nora glass using both the shaker strainer and a fine mesh strainer to catch any bits of fruit or ice shards.
- 5
Garnish & Serve
Garnish with a Luxardo cherry on a pick, or a thin cucumber ribbon or lime wheel on the rim depending on the fruit used. Serve immediately.
