Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Escarole
Rinse the escarole thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt. Shake off excess water and chop into bite-sized pieces.
- 2
Sauté the Garlic
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes, and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- 3
Wilt the Escarole
Add the chopped escarole to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the escarole is wilted, about 5-7 minutes.
- 4
Finish with Lemon
Remove the skillet from heat and drizzle with lemon juice. Toss to combine and adjust seasoning if necessary.
- 5
Serve
Transfer the wilted escarole to a serving dish and enjoy warm as a side dish.
