Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- 4
Make the Sauce
In the same skillet, add chopped onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, and dried basil. Stir and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- 5
Combine Meatballs and Sauce
Return the meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the sauce for an additional 10-15 minutes.
- 6
Cook the Spaghetti
While the sauce is simmering, cook spaghetti according to package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water. Drain.
- 7
Serve
Serve the spaghetti topped with meatballs and sauce. Garnish with additional grated parmesan cheese and chopped parsley if desired.
