Prepare the Simple Syrup
In a small saucepan, combine equal parts of sugar and water. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Allow to cool before using.

Muddle the Mint
In a large cocktail shaker, add the fresh mint leaves. Use a muddler to gently press the mint leaves to release their oils, being careful not to tear them apart.
Mixing the Cocktail

Combine Ingredients
To the cocktail shaker with muddled mint, add vodka, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup. Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds.

Strain and Serve
Strain the mixture into a large pitcher filled with ice. Top off with club soda and gently stir to combine.

Pour the cocktail into pint or liter glasses. Garnish each glass with a lime wedge and a sprig of mint.
