Method
Nachos
- 1
Prepare the Nachos
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the tortilla chips evenly on a baking sheet.
- 2
Add Toppings
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the chips. Add sliced jalapeños on top.
- 3
Bake
Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for about 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 4
Serve
Remove from the oven and serve with sour cream, guacamole, and salsa on the side.
Quesadillas
- 5
Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, mix together the shredded cheese, cooked chicken, sliced bell peppers, and sliced onion.
- 6
Assemble the Quesadillas
Place one tortilla on a skillet over medium heat. Add a generous amount of the filling and top with another tortilla.
- 7
Cook
Drizzle olive oil around the edges of the quesadilla. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- 8
Cut and Serve
Remove from the skillet, cut into wedges, and serve warm.
Onion Rings
- 9
Prepare the Batter
In a large bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt. Gradually whisk in the water until smooth.
- 10
Heat the Oil
In a deep pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 180°C (350°F).
- 11
Fry the Onion Rings
Dip each onion ring into the batter, allowing excess to drip off. Carefully place in the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- 12
Drain and Serve
Remove from oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with dipping sauce of your choice.
