Burger Patty

Burger Toppings

Burger Buns

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until just combined; do not overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form Patties

Divide the meat mixture into four equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about ¾ inch thick.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat for about 5 minutes.

  2. 4

    Cook Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until desired doneness. If using cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to let it melt.

Prepare Burger Toppings

  1. 5

    Slice Vegetables

While the patties are cooking, slice the tomato and red onion. Prepare the lettuce leaves and pickles.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast Buns (optional)

If desired, toast the hamburger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 7

    Layer Ingredients

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty, tomato slices, red onion slices, and pickles. Add ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise to taste.

  3. 8

    Top and Serve

Place the top half of the bun over the assembled ingredients. Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
