Method
Preparation Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Meatballs
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Shape the Meatballs
Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter. You should get around 16 meatballs.
- 3
Cook the Meatballs
In a large skillet over medium heat, add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes.
- 4
Add Marinara Sauce
Pour the marinara sauce over the meatballs, cover, and let simmer for another 10 minutes until the meatballs are cooked through.
- 5
Assemble the Subs
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the Italian sub buns on a baking sheet, fill each bun with meatballs and sauce, and top with provolone cheese.
- 6
Melt the Cheese
Bake in the preheated oven for 5-7 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 7
Serve
Remove from the oven and serve hot.
