Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Meatballs

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  2. 2

    Form the Meatballs

Shape the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.

  3. 3

    Cook the Meatballs

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 8-10 minutes. Remove from skillet.

  4. 4

    Add Sauce

In the same skillet, add tomato sauce and bring to a simmer. Return the meatballs to the skillet and cover. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.

  5. 5

    Prepare Broccolini

In a pot of boiling water, blanch the broccolini for 2-3 minutes until bright green and tender. Drain and set aside.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Hoagies

Slice the hoagie rolls open and place meatballs with sauce inside. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.

  7. 7

    Melt Cheese

Place the assembled hoagies under a broiler for 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  8. 8

    Serve

Serve the meatball hoagies with blanched broccolini on the side, drizzled with Caesar dressing.
