Cocktail

Method

Prep

1

Prepare the glass

Pour the kosher salt (and optional sugar) onto a small plate. Rub the rim of a rocks or coupe glass with a lime wedge, then gently dip the rim into the salt mixture to coat evenly. Set the glass in the freezer or refrigerate briefly to chill while you mix the cocktail.

2

If using fresh sour

If you prefer a fresher sour mix, combine 2 oz simple syrup with 2 oz fresh lime juice (this recipe assumes 2 oz sour mix; adjust quantities listed in ingredients if you substitute).

Mixing

3

Combine ingredients

In a cocktail shaker, add ice (about 3/4 full), 2 oz Bribon Reposado Tequila, 0.75 oz Bauchant Orange Liqueur, 0.5 oz Monin Blood Orange syrup, and 2 oz sour mix (or the fresh sour prepared). If you used the optional 0.5 oz fresh lime listed, add it now instead of part of the sour mix per your taste.

4

Shake

Secure the shaker lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is well-chilled and slightly frosted on the outside.

5

Strain and serve

Add fresh ice to the chilled prepared glass (if serving on the rocks) or leave glass empty if serving straight up. Double-strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer into the glass to remove small shards of ice and any pulp, ensuring a smooth texture.

Garnish & Finish

6

Garnish

Float or perch a thin blood orange wheel or a wedge on the rim of the glass. Optionally express a lime peel over the top to add an aromatic top note before dropping it in.

7

Serve

Serve immediately while cold. Enjoy the balance of reposado warmth, orange liqueur complexity, and bright blood orange sweetness.
