Prepare the arepa dough
In a large bowl, combine the corn flour, water, and salt. Mix until a smooth dough forms. Let it rest for about 10 minutes.

Shape the arepas
Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and shape each into a disc, about 1/2 inch thick.

Cook the arepas
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a tablespoon of vegetable oil. Cook each arepa for about 5-7 minutes on each side, until golden brown and slightly crispy. Set aside.
Smoked Pulled Pork

Prepare the pork
Season the pork shoulder with smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and liquid smoke. Rub the spices all over the pork.

Cook the pork
Place the seasoned pork in a slow cooker and cook on low for 8 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pulled apart.

Shred the pork
Once cooked, remove the pork from the slow cooker and shred it using two forks. Mix in the BBQ sauce until well combined.
