Method
Jar & Rim
- 1
- 2
Make M&M rim glaze: melt the semi-sweet chocolate gently in a heatproof bowl set over simmering water or in 20–30 second microwave bursts, stirring until smooth. Stir in the corn syrup or honey until glossy and slightly thinned.
- 3
- 4
Press M&M's onto rim: immediately press the melted rim into a shallow bowl of mini M&M's, rotating to coat completely. Set jars upright on parchment and refrigerate 5–10 minutes to set.
Ice Cream
- 5
Soften ice cream: let the Cookie Two Step ice cream sit at room temperature 5–8 minutes until scoopable but not melted.
- 6
Layer ice cream into jars: using an ice cream scoop or large spoon, pack about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of ice cream into each jar, pressing gently to remove air pockets. Smooth the top level with the back of a spoon.
Whipped Topping (Cookies & Cream Whip)
- 7
Make cookies & cream whipped cream: chill a medium mixing bowl and beaters (optional) 5 minutes in the freezer. Pour the heavy cream into the chilled bowl, add powdered sugar and vanilla. Whip on medium-high speed until soft peaks form, about 2–3 minutes.
- 8
Fold in crushed Oreos: gently fold the finely crushed Oreos into the whipped cream until evenly distributed, leaving some streaks for texture.
- 9
Pipe or spoon onto jars: transfer the whipped cream to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip (or use a spoon). Pipe a generous swirl atop the ice cream in each jar, forming a peaked, cookies-and-cream cloud.
Cookie Skewer
- 10
Assemble cookie skewers: thread mini Oreos and mini chocolate chip cookies alternately onto each wooden skewer, leaving a 1" stem at the bottom for handling. Make 1 skewer per jar.
- 11
Chill assembled skewers briefly: place skewers on parchment and chill for 5 minutes so they hold their shape when inserted into the whipped cream.
- 12
Drizzles & Garnish
- 13
Prepare white chocolate drizzle: melt the white chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in the microwave in 20–30 second bursts, stirring until smooth. If too thick, stir in up to 1 tsp vegetable oil to loosen.
- 14
Prepare colored drizzles: melt colored candy melts in separate small bowls according to package directions. Thin with a few drops (or up to 1 tsp) of vegetable oil if needed for a smooth drizzle consistency.
- 15
Drizzle jars: using a spoon or a small piping bag, drizzle white chocolate and one or two colored melts over the whipped cream and cookie skewer to create colorful streaks. Allow drizzles to set for 2–3 minutes.
- 16
Finish with crumbs: sprinkle extra crushed cookies or cookie crumbs over the whipped cream and around the rim for additional texture.
- 17
Serve immediately or keep chilled: serve the finished Foundry jars immediately. If not serving right away, cover loosely with plastic and keep refrigerated for up to 1 hour (longer will soften the ice cream).
