Prepare the Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

Add Edamame
Once the water is boiling, add 2 cups of edamame pods to the pot.

Steam the Edamame
Allow the edamame to boil for about 5-6 minutes until they are tender but still firm.

Drain and Season
Using a colander, drain the edamame and then transfer them to a serving bowl. Sprinkle 1 tsp of sea salt over the edamame and toss to coat evenly.

Serve
Serve the steamed edamame warm, either as an appetizer or a snack. Enjoy by popping the beans out of the pods with your fingers.
