Method
Brewing Instructions
- 1
Boil the Water
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.
- 2
Add Tea Leaves
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of loose black tea leaves. Stir gently to ensure all the leaves are submerged.
- 3
Steep the Tea
Cover the saucepan and let the tea leaves steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you want your tea. For a lighter flavor, steep for 5 minutes; for a stronger flavor, steep for 7 minutes.
- 4
Strain the Tea
After steeping, carefully strain the tea using a fine mesh strainer or a tea strainer into a large pitcher to remove the tea leaves.
- 5
Cool the Tea
Allow the strained tea to cool to room temperature, then place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 30 minutes.
- 6
Serve
Once the tea is chilled, fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the unsweetened tea over the ice. Garnish with lemon slices and mint leaves if desired.
