Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Set up a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Dip each chicken tender first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

  2. 2

    Cook the Chicken

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken tenders and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Once done, place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Garlic Butter

Melt the stick of butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. Remove from heat and set aside.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sub

Slice the hoagie rolls lengthwise and brush the insides with the garlic butter. Place the cooked chicken tenders into each roll, then pour marinara sauce over the chicken. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese.

  5. 5

    Toast the Sub

Place the assembled sandwiches on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove from the oven, let cool for a couple of minutes, then slice in half and serve while hot.
