Method

Cocktail

1

Chill glass

Place a coupe or martini glass in the freezer for 5–10 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail to ensure it's well chilled.

2

Add the Grey Goose vodka, St. Germain, fresh lemon juice, white cranberry juice and the optional simple syrup into a cocktail shaker.

3

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup) and secure the lid.

4

Shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds until the outside of the shaker is very cold and slightly frosted. This chills and lightly dilutes the drink, balancing the tartness of lemon and cranberry.

5

Discard ice from the chilled glass if you used ice water. Strain the cocktail through a fine mesh strainer (or the shaker strainer) into the chilled coupe or over a large ice cube in a rocks glass, depending on preference.

Garnish & Serve

6

Express a lemon twist over the cocktail by pinching the peel over the drink to release oils, then run the peel around the rim and drop it into the glass or balance a thin lemon wheel on the rim.

7

If desired, float an edible orchid or small edible flower on the surface for an elegant touch.

8

Serve immediately. Black Orchid is best enjoyed chilled and fresh.
