Whisky Serving
Garnish & Tasting Notes (optional)
Method
Whisky Serving
- 1
Prepare glass
Select a Glencairn or a wide-bowled rocks glass. Warm the glass briefly in your hands for 10–20 seconds to release aromatics; do not overheat.
- 2
Measure whisky
Pour one dram (about 25–35 ml; use the amount your service prefers) of The Glenlivet 15 Year Old (French Oak Finish) into the prepared glass.
- 3
Optional ice
If the guest prefers chilled whisky, add a single large ice cube to the glass. Note that ice will mute some aromatics; suggest chilled only if requested.
- 4
Optional water adjustment
Present a small water dropper or 15 ml of filtered water on the side. Suggest adding water in 2–3 drops to open the whisky's fruity and floral notes. Add more (up to about 15 ml) only if the guest prefers a lighter mouthfeel.
Garnish & Tasting

Aroma and tasting
Before tasting, hold the glass at chest level, bring it slowly to your nose and take a series of short sniffs followed by a deeper inhale. Expect orchard fruits, crème brûlée, spiced oak and subtle mocha from the French oak finish. Take a small sip, let it coat the tongue, breathe gently through the nose and mouth to perceive layered notes. If desired, add one twist of orange peel over the glass to release citrus oils and rest the peel at the rim.

Serve
Return the bottle to view so the guest can see provenance (The Glenlivet, Moray, Speyside). Serve with water on the side and offer additional tasting notes or a palate cleanser (plain water or soda water) if requested.
