Cocktail

Method

Prepare glass (optional)

1

Salt the rim (optional)

If you prefer a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the edge of a chilled rocks or coupe glass, then dip the rim into a shallow plate of coarse salt to coat. Set the glass aside.

Build the cocktail

2

Add 2 oz Azunia Blanco tequila, 0.75 oz fresh lime juice, 0.5 oz fresh grapefruit juice, 0.5 oz agave syrup, 0.5 oz orange liqueur, and 2 dashes aromatic bitters into a cocktail shaker.

3

Fill the shaker with ice (about 1 cup). Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 12–15 seconds, until the shaker is cold and the outside is frosted.

4

Double-strain the cocktail into the prepared chilled glass (or a rocks glass filled with fresh ice) using a fine mesh strainer to remove small ice shards and any pulp for a smooth texture.

Finish & garnish

5

Express the oils of a grapefruit twist over the drink by holding the twist over the glass and giving it a quick pinch, then drop the twist into the drink or use a wedge on the rim. If you salted the rim, serve without additional salt.

6

Serve immediately and enjoy.
