Whisky

Glass & Garnish

Method

Serve

  1. 1

    Prepare glass

Choose a tumbler or Glencairn glass. If desired, place one large ice cube into the glass to slightly chill and open the whisky.

  2. 2

    Pour whisky

Measure and pour 2 oz (60 ml) of Ardbeg Uigeadail into the glass over the ice cube (or directly into the glass if serving neat).

  3. 3

    Add water (optional)

Add a few drops to 1/4 oz (1–7 ml) of filtered water to taste. Start with a few drops, swirl gently, and taste; add more water gradually until the peat, sweetness, and sherry cask influence balance to your preference.

  4. 4

Rest for 30–60 seconds to allow aromas to open, then nose and sip slowly, appreciating the layers of peat smoke, dark fruit, espresso and spice that characterize Ardbeg Uigeadail.
