Preparation of Topping

Chop Tomatoes
Dice the tomatoes into small pieces and place them in a mixing bowl.

Mince Garlic
Peel and mince the garlic cloves, then add them to the bowl with the tomatoes.

Add Basil
Chop the fresh basil leaves finely and add them to the bowl.

Season the Mixture
Sprinkle the salt and black pepper over the tomato mixture. Stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

Slice the Baguette
Cut the baguette into 1/2 inch slices diagonally.

Brush with Olive Oil
Place the slices on a baking sheet and brush one side of each slice with olive oil.

Toast Bread
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Toast the bread slices in the oven for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Assembly

Top the Toast
Remove the toasted bread from the oven and let it cool slightly. Spoon the tomato mixture generously on the toasted side of each slice.

Serve the bruschetta immediately while the bread is still warm. Enjoy!
