Method
Brewing the Tea
Boil Water
In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over medium-high heat.
Steep Tea
Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 4 black tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for about 5-7 minutes, depending on how strong you like it.
Remove Tea Bags
After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags and discard them. The tea should be a rich amber color.
Sweetening and Flavoring
Add Lemon Juice
Stir in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice to the sweetened tea. This will enhance the flavor and provide a refreshing taste.
Add Mint
Add fresh mint leaves to the mixture. Use as much as you like for a fresh minty flavor, stirring gently to incorporate.
Chilling and Serving
Chill the Tea
Cover the tea and place it in the refrigerator to chill for at least 1-2 hours. This will allow the flavors to meld together.
Prepare Glasses
When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes (about 1 cup per glass).
Serve the Tea
Pour the chilled tea over the ice cubes in each glass. Garnish with lemon slices and additional mint leaves if desired.
