Marinate the Shrimp
Place the raw Gulf shrimp in a glass or ceramic bowl. Pour the fresh lime juice over the shrimp, ensuring they're fully submerged. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.

Combine Vegetables
In a separate bowl, combine the finely chopped red onion, diced tomatoes, diced cucumber, chopped cilantro, diced avocado, and finely chopped jalapeño.

Mix Everything Together
Once the shrimp are fully marinated, drain some of the lime juice, if desired, and add the shrimp to the bowl with the vegetables. Pour in the tequila and stir gently to combine all the ingredients.

Season and Serve
Season the ceviche with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve chilled, ideally with tortilla chips or on its own.
