Chopped Cheese Ingredients
Method
Chopped Cheese Directions
- 1
Prepare the Ingredients
Start by washing and chopping the vegetables. Dice the onion and tomato, and shred the lettuce. Set aside.
- 2
Cook the Ground Beef
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef to the skillet, breaking it apart with a spatula. Season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 8-10 minutes.
- 3
Melt the Cheese
Once the ground beef is fully cooked, reduce the heat to low. Place the American cheese slices over the cooked beef. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it sit for about 2-3 minutes until the cheese melts.
- 4
Toast the Sub Rolls
While the cheese is melting, slice the sub rolls in half and toast them in a separate pan or in the oven until golden brown.
- 5
Assemble the Chopped Cheese
Once the cheese has melted, remove the skillet from heat. Spoon the cheesy beef mixture onto the toasted sub rolls. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and onions.
- 6
Serve
Serve the chopped cheese sandwiches hot, and enjoy!
