Classic Vodka Recipe

Preparation

   Chill the Glass

   Place your martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare your drink.

   Prepare the Mixing Glass

   In a cocktail shaker or mixing glass, add 1 cup of ice cubes to chill the mixture.

   Measure Ingredients

   Using a jigger, measure 2 oz of vodka and pour it into the mixing glass.

   Add Vermouth

   Measure 0.5 oz of dry vermouth and add it to the mixing glass with the vodka.

   Stir the Mixture

   Using a bar spoon, stir the mixture gently for about 30 seconds to chill and combine the ingredients.

   Strain into Glass

   Remove the ice from the chilled martini glass and strain the cocktail mixture from the mixing glass into the glass.

   Garnish

   Add either an olive or a lemon twist as a garnish to your martini.
