Cooking the Pasta

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a large pot, bring salted water to a rolling boil.

  2. 2

    Cook Linguine

Add the linguine to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions, usually about 8-10 minutes, or until al dente.

  3. 3

    Drain Pasta

Once cooked, drain the linguine in a colander and set aside.

Making the Sauce

  1. 4

    Heat Olive Oil

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.

  2. 5

    Sauté Garlic

Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.

  3. 6

    Add Cream

Pour in the heavy cream and stir to combine. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.

  4. 7

    Season Sauce

Add salt and black pepper to taste, stirring well.

  5. 8

    Incorporate Cheese

Gradually add the grated Parmesan cheese to the sauce, stirring continuously until melted and smooth.

Combining Ingredients

  1. 9

    Mix Pasta and Sauce

Add the drained linguine to the skillet with the sauce, tossing to coat the pasta evenly with the cheesy sauce.

Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley over the top for added flavor and color.
