Method

Brewing the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil Water

In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil over medium-high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the green tea bags. Allow the tea to steep for 3-5 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, remove the tea bags and let the tea cool to room temperature.

Infusing Mint

  1. 4

    Prepare Mint

While the tea is cooling, rinse the fresh mint leaves under cold water and gently pat them dry.

  2. 5

    Muddle Mint

In a separate bowl, add the mint leaves and honey (or sugar). Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the mint leaves to release their oils.

  3. 6

    Combine Mint and Tea

Add the muddled mint mixture to the cooled green tea along with the lemon juice. Stir well to combine all the flavors.

Serving the Iced Tea

  1. 7

    Prepare Glasses

Fill two glasses with ice cubes. You can adjust the amount of ice based on your preference.

  2. 8

    Pour Tea

Pour the mint-infused green tea over the ice in the glasses.

  3. 9

    Garnish

Garnish with lemon slices and mint sprigs on top for an extra refreshing touch.
