Hummus

Pita and Vegetables

Method

Hummus Preparation

  1. 1

    Drain and Rinse Chickpeas

Open the canned chickpeas, drain them in a colander, and rinse under cold water to remove excess sodium.

  2. 2

    Blend Ingredients

In a food processor, combine the drained chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, garlic cloves, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.

  3. 3

    Adjust Consistency

If the hummus is too thick, add a little more water, one tablespoon at a time, until you reach the desired creamy consistency.

  4. 4

    Serve

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil, and sprinkle paprika on top for garnish.

Pita and Vegetables Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare Pita Bread

Cut the pita bread into wedges or halves for easy dipping.

  2. 6

    Chop Vegetables

Wash and slice the cucumber, cherry tomatoes, carrots, and bell pepper into bite-sized pieces suitable for dipping.

  3. 7

    Arrange Platter

On a large platter, arrange the hummus in the center, with the pita wedges and fresh vegetables surrounding it for a beautiful presentation.
