Method

Blondie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  2. 2

    Melt the Butter

In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  3. 3

    Mix Sugars

In a large bowl, combine the melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well until combined.

  4. 4

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.

  5. 5

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and cracked fennel seeds.

  6. 6

    Combine Mixtures

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.

  7. 7

    Bake

Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

  8. 8

    Cool

Allow the blondies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
