Method

Rib Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F). Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, brown sugar, and liquid smoke. Rub this mixture generously over both sides of the ribs.

  3. 3

    Wrap and Bake

Wrap the seasoned ribs tightly in aluminum foil and place them on a baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

BBQ Sauce

  1. 4

    Prepare the BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, honey, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, salt, black pepper, and smoked paprika. Stir well and bring to a simmer.

  2. 5

    Simmer the Sauce

Reduce heat to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally until it thickens.

Finishing Touches

  1. 6

    Glaze the Ribs

Remove the ribs from the oven and carefully unwrap them. Brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs.

  2. 7

    Broil the Ribs

Place the ribs under the broiler for 5-7 minutes, watching closely until the sauce caramelizes and becomes sticky.

Serving Suggestions

    Serve with Sides

Slice the ribs into portions and serve on a platter with coleslaw, cornbread, and pickles on the side.
