Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepping the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels.

  2. 2

    Making the Dry Rub

In a bowl, mix together brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

  3. 3

    Applying the Rub

Generously rub the dry rub mixture all over the pork and beef ribs, ensuring even coverage. Let the ribs sit for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate for several hours for better flavor.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Grilling the Ribs

Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F). Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Cook for about 2 to 2.5 hours, turning occasionally.

  2. 5

    Making the Sauce

In a small saucepan, combine BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey. Heat over low to medium heat until warm, stirring occasionally.

  3. 6

    Basting the Ribs

During the last 30 minutes of cooking, brush the ribs with the prepared BBQ sauce mixture every 10 minutes, allowing it to caramelize.

Serving

  1. 7

    Resting the Ribs

Once cooked, remove the ribs from the grill and let them rest for 10 minutes before cutting.

  2. 8

    Serving

Slice the ribs between the bones and serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
