Preparation Steps

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ahi Tuna

Season the ahi tuna with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Sear it in a hot skillet for about 1-2 minutes on each side for medium-rare. Remove from heat and let it rest before slicing.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Avocado

Slice the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Cut it into thin slices.

  3. 3

    Fry the Leeks

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add the sliced leeks and fry until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels and season with salt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Dish

On a serving plate, arrange the sliced ahi tuna. Top with chipotle mayonnaise, avocado slices, fried leeks, and finely chopped serrano peppers.

  5. 5

    Serve

Serve immediately with additional chipotle mayonnaise on the side for dipping.
