Method

Whipped Cream Cheese Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the whipped cream cheese

In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Continue to beat until the mixture is light and fluffy.

Strawberry Preparation

  1. 2

    Prepare the strawberries

Wash the fresh strawberries, hull them, and slice them. In a bowl, toss the strawberries with granulated sugar and let them sit for about 10 minutes to macerate.

Hibiscus Meringue Preparation

  1. 3

    Make the hibiscus meringue

In a clean mixing bowl, whip the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form. Gently fold in the dried hibiscus flowers.

  2. 4

    Bake the meringue

Preheat the oven to 200°F (93°C). Spoon the meringue mixture onto a lined baking sheet and shape it as desired. Bake for about 1.5 to 2 hours until dry and crisp.

Assembly

  1. 5

    Assemble the dish

In serving bowls, layer the whipped cream cheese mixture, followed by the macerated strawberries. Top with pieces of hibiscus meringue before serving.
