Method
For the Buffalo Wings
- 1
Prepare the Chicken Wings
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels.
- 2
Season the Wings
In a large bowl, mix the chicken wings with vegetable oil, salt, and black pepper until they are evenly coated.
- 3
Bake the Wings
Place the seasoned wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and cooked through.
- 4
Make the Buffalo Sauce
While the wings are baking, melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Once melted, add the hot sauce and garlic powder. Stir until well combined.
- 5
Toss the Wings
Once the wings are done baking, remove them from the oven and place them in a large bowl. Pour the buffalo sauce over the wings and toss until they are evenly coated.
For the Blue Cheese Dressing
- 6
Prepare the Dressing
In a mixing bowl, combine the blue cheese, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- 7
Mix Until Smooth
Using a fork, mash the blue cheese into the other ingredients until well combined but still slightly chunky. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- 8
Chill the Dressing
Cover the dressing and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
