Main Ingredients

Method

Preparing the Ribs

  1. 1

    Season the Ribs

In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika. Rub this seasoning blend all over the pork ribs, ensuring they are well-coated.

  2. 2

    Slow Cook the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs in a slow cooker. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or until the ribs are tender and the meat is pulling away from the bone.

Making the BBQ Sauce

  1. 3

    Combine Ingredients

In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.

  2. 4

    Cook the Sauce

Heat the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a simmer. Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.

Glazing and Serving

  1. 5

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are cooked, carefully remove them from the slow cooker. Brush a generous amount of BBQ sauce over the ribs, coating them well.

  2. 6

    Finish Under Broiler

Preheat your oven's broiler. Place the glazed ribs on a baking sheet and broil for 3-5 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning, until the sauce is caramelized.

  3. 7

    Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut between the bones to separate into individual ribs. Serve with remaining BBQ sauce on the side.
