Grilled Ciabatta Garlic Bread

Method

Meatballs

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Mix Meatball Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ricotta cheese, chopped parsley, chopped basil, minced garlic, egg, Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Form Meatballs

Using your hands, form the mixture into meatballs about 1 inch in diameter and place them on a baking sheet.

  4. 4

    Bake Meatballs

Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.

Sunday Gravy

  1. 5

    Sauté Aromatics

In a large pot, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft, about 5 minutes. Add the minced garlic and sauté for another minute.

  2. 6

    Add Tomatoes and Wine

Stir in the crushed tomatoes and red wine. Bring to a simmer.

  3. 7

    Season the Gravy

Add dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Reduce heat to low and let the gravy simmer for about 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  4. 8

    Add Meatballs

Once the meatballs are baked, add them to the gravy and let them simmer for an additional 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.

Grilled Ciabatta Garlic Bread

  1. 9

    Prepare Garlic Butter

In a small bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined.

  2. 10

    Prepare Ciabatta Bread

Slice the ciabatta bread in half lengthwise and spread the garlic butter mixture evenly on both halves.

  3. 11

    Grill Bread

Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Place the ciabatta halves, butter side down, on the grill and grill for about 3-4 minutes or until golden and toasted.
