Pizza Base

Method

Preparation of Pizza Base

1

Prepare the Dough

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Roll out the whole wheat pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness. Brush both sides of the dough with olive oil to ensure a crispy crust.

Grilling Carrots

2

Grill the Carrots

Peel and trim the carrots. Cut them in half lengthwise for even grilling. Place the carrots on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are tender and have nice grill marks. Remove from grill and let cool slightly, then slice them into thin rounds.

Assembling the Pizza

3

Assemble Ingredients

Spread the grilled carrots evenly over the pizza dough, followed by crumbled goat cheese. Scatter the kale, arugula, and sliced pepperoncini evenly over the top.

4

Add Dressing and Seasoning

Drizzle the honey over the assembled pizza, then sprinkle the dried oregano, salt, and pepper to taste over the top.

Grilling the Pizza

5

Grill the Pizza

Carefully transfer the assembled pizza to the grill. Cover and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese has melted.

Garnishing

6

Garnish and Serve

Once grilled, remove the pizza from the grill and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Top with candied pecans and radicchio before slicing and serving.
