Salmon Teriyaki Ingredients

Method

Salmon Teriyaki Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil. Whisk together until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Salmon

Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the salmon is well coated. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your broiler to high heat. Position the oven rack about 6 inches from the heat source.

  4. 4

    Broil the Salmon

Remove the salmon from the marinade, allowing excess marinade to drip off. Place the salmon on a broiler pan lined with aluminum foil for easy cleanup. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Broil the salmon for about 6–8 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is cooked to your desired doneness.

  5. 5

    Prepare the Garnish

While the salmon is broiling, chop the green onions and toast the sesame seeds in a small skillet over medium heat until golden brown.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the salmon from the oven. Drizzle some of the leftover marinade over the fish (make sure it's cooked through). Garnish with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving. Enjoy your Salmon Teriyaki!
