Chicken
Method
Frying Chicken
- 1
Prepare Chicken
Remove the chicken from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels to remove excess liquid. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Coat Chicken
In a shallow dish, add the cornstarch or potato starch. Dredge each piece of chicken in the starch until fully coated, shaking off any excess.
- 3
Heat Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the oil to 180°C (350°F). You can test if the oil is ready by dropping a small amount of batter into it; if it sizzles and rises to the surface, the oil is hot enough.
- 4
Fry Chicken
Carefully add the coated chicken pieces to the hot oil in batches, making sure not to overcrowd the pot. Fry for about 6-8 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through, turning occasionally.
- 5
Drain and Serve
Once cooked, remove the chicken from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot, optionally with a side of the Murata's original house sauce.
