Philly Cheese Steak Egg Rolls

Method

Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Season the flank steak with salt and black pepper. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the flank steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest.

  2. 2

    Cook the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add diced onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are soft.

  3. 3

    Combine Filling

Once the steak has cooled, slice it thinly and chop it into small pieces. In a large bowl, combine the steak, sautéed vegetables, cream cheese, and provolone cheese. Mix until well combined.

  4. 4

    Assemble Egg Rolls

Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner facing you. Place about 2-3 tablespoons of the filling in the center. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides, and roll tightly. Seal the top corner with a little water.

  5. 5

    Fry the Egg Rolls

In a deep skillet or fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry the egg rolls in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve the Philly cheese steak egg rolls hot with house-made beer cheese sauce for dipping.
